En Linguaria no sabemos mucho de coches pero la canción del nuevo anuncio de Citröen es una verdadera joya. De hecho, la revista Rolling Stone la coloca en el puesto n.º 377 en su lista de las mejores 500 canciones de todos los tiempos. La nueva versión de “Hit The Road Jack” es de “Donuts” pero aquí os presentamos la versión original de Ray Charles. En realidad, la compuso Percy Mayfield pero fue Ray Charles quien la popularizó en 1961. Aquí tenéis la letra en los dos idiomas. Con el video de Ray Charles, claro !

Qué grato ver subtítulos en la tele por una vez y poder escuchar la voz original de, en este caso, el inestimable John Lennon. Son muchas las personas que reclaman que no se doble tanto en la televisión aunque claro, nadie va a aprender inglés sólo por ver la tele. Pero sí ayudaría a perder un poco el miedo que tenemos todos a la hora de hablar inglés. Y el idioma no nos resultaría tan ajeno si lo escucháramos más a menudo. En este sentido, ver más tele en versión original sí ayudaría mucho. Esperemos que esta tendencia se extienda.
